HHave just looked at terms and conditions and unfortunately you have to become a member and buy 5 more books what a scam!! So I wouldn't bother sorry to have been a pain I am new, but at least I know now to read the terms and conditions before a start a new thread!!

  • I believe this is the same as 'World Books' where you sign up but then have to buy 4 full price books in your first year of membership.

I much prefer the Book People as there is no membership and the books are really cheap!

as this is a book club and you have to commit to further purchases when you take up this offer, I am moving this to Shop but don't drop as it isn't really a Quick! Grabbit offer :)
  • Whoops.........just trying to cancel now. That will teach me not to read the T&C's.
  • I'm so sorry please forgive me. I've been picking uplots of info etc.. about freebies and wanted to give something back. Good job it's not ebay I would end up with a load of negative feedback.

    Will try harder

For free (or reserved for a small charge of around 70p) you can read ANY book you want. In "You are what you eat", there are probably only a few recipes that any one person would actually try, so why not copy them out of a library book? I've got this out of my local library at the moment. The principals are great, but the ingredients are weird to say the least.
  • Kent libraries only charge 25p to reserve a book from anywhere in Kent and have it sent to your library, brilliant or what! I am totally convereted to the library now and pop in every couple of weeks.
