Thanks snags, are you having a bad day? Ryan having a bad day, more to the point?
In between though, he's being so sweet, and then I feel guilty for feeling like this. It's because it is the school holidays. Changes in his routine are a nightmare - he will probably start to settlke down in a few days, but then it will start all over again on Monday when he goes back to school
Sorry, just moaning really - will pull myself together in a bit."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -

He's just soooo aggressive and stroppy at the moment - has been for the last few days. It's not too bad, and I can cope, but really feeling stressed, and I'm working 6pm - 11pm and I'm tired out already!

If it's any consolation hun, all kids get a bit like that when they are out of a routine, so really it's just another example of how Ryan is just like any other kid. You're so tuned into his feelings that you know and relate it to his aspergers, whereas the rest of us just moan about our kids and don't analyse it. It's good you recognise what's making him feel like that, but remember that even if he didn't have AS, he would probably still be stropping about going, "uh, i'm bored, nothing to do," etc etc.
See, he's just the same as the rest of them! god love 'em!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0 -
afternoon everyone
It's pishing it down here... had to go out and let the nurse take an armful of blood at lunchtime, fingers crossed I'll have the results on Thursday and they'll say my liver function is back to normal.
Snags, sorry to hear you're getting stressed at the moment.
Bunny - hope your new freezer is wonderful.

Awww, thanks - and lol Maz, very true - although his aspergers meltdowns are different to his 'normal' 7 year old tantrums - there is much more throwing of furniture and then he gets angry with himself and starts to try to hurt himself by hitting himself in the face or banging his head on something.
I bought him a Spiderman fleece blanket this morning (we had a walk around town after his speech and language therapist appointment), and he's cuddled up under it on the sofa watching cartoons now, so I think he's burnt himself out for a bit."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
