I spoke with CCCS regarding my finances, and they reccomended a debt management plan. They then told me that as I dont have £100 a month to put towards a debt management plan, that they would be unable to help me, but instead offer all creditors 1 pound a month. (They also gave me supprt with letter writing, budgeting and templates, etc). I have about 80 pounds spare, but they would not accept this, saying the minimum is 100 for a debt managemant plan.
I wanted to know has anyone else ever had this issue wit them, and whether there are any other companies that will take on a plan wit a payment of under 100 pounds?
Many Thanks, I am so confused. I even stopped my pension to make up the 100 needed but they told me my student loan payments will go up and I will be taxed as it will look like my pay has gone up when it actually hasnt

You could do your own, I always did my own with the help of the national debtline website it was before I discovered this website so I didn't realise there were charities that could do it for you.
Take a look round the national debtline website and maybe request a copy of their debt guide and see what you think. They have template letters and budget calculators on there so you really do not need much else just a bit of organisation.0 -
My original payments were for £90. i thought the whole idea is you only pay what you can whatever the amount.
try speaking to payplan for a second opinion
good luck0 -
I am on DMP with CCCS and I pay 60 per month. I have never been in the position where I could pay 100 per month and CCCS were fine with that. Payplan would not take less than 100 and gave me the same advice to pay 1.00 per month to all non priority debts. Try calling CCCS again and they may be able to help. Jacqui0
