motgage brokers

hi, can anyone recommend an independant mortgage broker in the devon area, im a first time buyer and have no idea where to start. many thanks

    Depends on what kind of services the OP is looking for. Many who don't charge a fee will not look at the whole of the market and may not be impartial when it comes to recommending products due to the commissions in place.

    YMMV, but it's worth looking direct to lenders in the first instance, just so you get a feel for the market - it's not rocket science, and it's not scary... fire up your web browser, check the comparison sites and also directly to the banks web sites. Even if you end up using a broker, you'll understand much more about what they are telling you and in a position to make an informed choice.

    I agree. With the internet we deal with customers all over the country. Op has a choice He can go to a local brokerage, do all his own homework and deal direct or deal with a broker over the internet and get advice either free or with fees. Quality of service is more important
    I like to give people as many choices as possible to do what I want them to. (Milton H Erickson I think)
