a hoover that washes??

Options
i have bought untold amount of hoovers in all price ranges and have never had one last longer than 12 months, this last one has lasted 2 months. they all seem to overheat on me. anyhow this time i want to buy one that washes as well. i have carpet on my stairs and in 2 of my bedrooms, other than that there is wood everywhere. all this carpet needs cleaning, especially daughters bedroom. a bottle of bubble bath was allowsed to spill and dry in 7 years ago in a lovely shade of blue on a pink carpet ( only told me recently). and so i thought i would buy one of those vax type machines that were so popular a few years ago. i have heard good and bad about them. but was hoping i could have some of your recommendations, i would be very grateful.

  • I have bissell proheat £199. Doesnt vacuum tho. Absolutely FANTASTIC cleaner! Got a dyson for the vacuuming. I think its worth the space to have both. Had vax-hard hard work-dribbles out cleaner-uuurrrgh! Had quite a few hoover vacuums-average lasted 2 years. Had dyson 7 years but replaced bits in last 3 yrs-parts are on ebay cheap. Next one I buy will be a Bissell vacuum cos I am SOOOOO impressed with the carpet cleaner. Got mine from Littlewoods lx on credit-at the time, it worked out same price as Argos but with credit.

If you're buying a Bissell don't forget that refurbished machines can be bought from Bissell direct here

I bought one this way and I'm very happy :)
