Is anyone else a solitary Bootster?

Solitary Bootser, solitary Tescoer, solitary shopper! Noone understands my love for bargain hunting, and I can't abide other peoples (namely my sisters) love of wandering round and round a shop on the hunt for one single thing, not buying anything, visiting several other shops, not buying anything, and then eventually going back to the first shop again! I like to raid and run :rotfl:

Went to Nottingham with my sister today. Hit Primark etc and wanted to do some Bootsing as vouchers burning a hole in my wallet. Somehow missed the Vic centre Boots so went in to Broadmarsh on way to train . What a shock -was only a small one ! Decided not to bother as no clearance and very squashed up shop.
Also .............you know what ....... I think for me Bootsing is a bit of a solitary pleasure. Trying to explain to the unconverted like my sister just does not work -- I end up sounding a bit pathetic with my pursuit of Boots bargains when I can well afford to buy them full price ! Think I will hoard my vouchers until next week after a bad day at work when I can browse to my hearts content working out the best deals!

elisamoose, I know exactly what you mean about explaining to the unconverted :rotfl:
I've managed to convert DD, but the boys eyes just glaze over if Boots is mentioned. DD1 was quite keen when I was saving points to buy him an electric razor though, he was very impressed with the old 400 points on S&G, especially when I found reduced bodywashes :D
His latest girlfriend is an SA in Boots so now he gets the talk from all sides :rotfl:
She doesn't work in my locals but I'm keeping an ear open for any future offers :D

No I keep trying to explain bootsing to people but they don't seem to get it:rotfl: As you said it does all sound a bit pathetic being on the search for bargains:D I can't convince my mum at all:D
although I think OH has been converted especially as most of the points have been put on his card and he decided to spend them today on some hair clippers:rotfl:

OH gets a nervous tick in his cheek when i mention boots...tried to persuade him to go to boots to top up his phone but he wasnt having none of it

You bootser's are very distracting. I have 30 end of year school reports to write but I keep getting distracted by the chat on here!!!!

I've only written 10 and they need to be completed by Monday.

Keeping it Boots related - when I finish them I will treat myself to a bath with Sanctuary Foam Bath!

Well as for my bootsing today, I am having a major strop as neither the S&G blueberry thrill or Peaches and Clean are reduced in my local waaaahhhh!

    But I did get:

    2 x NC facial wand :p £1.25 each
    1 x NC Strawbery sponge 75p
    1 x NC GWP
    2 x No7 lip & eye screen £5.75 BOGOF
    2 x No7 Glossy locks £5.75 BOGOF
    1 x No7 Womens GWP

I tried the Model Me ACM voucher with
    1x Erin Dry Shampoo
    1x Erin Creative Styling Glue
BUT got the dreaded bleep! SA wasn't going to override which was lucky really as I wanted the extra bit off the 2 for £9 gives so I swapped the glue for the Erin Matt Styling Paste which I already knew worked and of course it worked again fine, so who knows why it didn't like the glue

Oh and the actual reason I went in was to swap some nappies as my little man is growing into a little mammoth, so I did the exchange, nothing to pay, but got a till spit anyway :T Well it would be good if this was a good offer!

Got another 2 packs to swap, so I'm going to wait until the next till spit and hope it's something great....anyone have any inkling as to what the next one may be?

  • hi all!
Well done on all your fab shops!:T

So annoyed...went especially to liverpool street station(after bit of revision) and NOTHING was reduced

Even printed out my little list too! .

..Suppose i'll just have to wait til after my exams are done...the torture! (that or I shall try and convince SKMS Snr to go out and buy me some things)....only thing is...we're overflowing with the stuff..but it's a boots bargain! I [STRIKE]want[/STRIKE] need it!:D

Just about to update the list on page 41...thanks all for ur thanks and thanks for keeping the reductions coming! :D

Not a very good trip today. I was hoping to get the body butters and GWP but there wasn't any GWP and there wasn't even any signs up, has it finished now? I really wanted them for my birthday:cry: There wasn't a clearance section or any of the good reduced products that some of you lucky things have been getting.
:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boys :)
