hi everybody-just thought I would let you all Know about a bootsing session gone wrong today!
Went shopping with my younger sis and decided to go into boots , sis decided she was hungry & chose a meal deal which I used my points to pay for! Walked out of boots -sis was munching on sandwich when suddenly her face started to itch, then eyes, then lips etc etc swelling & itchiness started to progress-had to rush her to emergency doctors who gave her a jab of piriton but swelling increased-doc panics calls a&e who suggested high dose of steroids.Sis took 1 teeny sip and starting shaking violently-her throat had swollen and she went into anaphylaxis shock.Doc called an ambulance who quickly came and rushed her into hospital, she's still there now.

Omg Sonee that is scary I hope your sister has a quick recovery. Hopefully they will do tests to find out why this happened so she knows what to avoid in future. xx

Hmmm, had a funny shop this evening.

    [Snipped....]

Anyway, also bought a reduced sandwich and got half price sunbites crisps. Total was £4.02 and I also got a till spit! I don't understand why.

Oops! forgot to say I used an out of date sunbites voucher (printed one a few days ago, says valid for today only). Went through ok, SA didn't look at the voucher too hard.

The ACM has stopped giving me model me vouchers! Actually, thinking about it, my ACM vouchers are a bit crap compared to other people on here. I don't even have a free TD or 100 pts WYB TD.

If anyone wants a till spit let me know. I have a few and I'm not going to use them. Am up for swapsies....
  • Finally got to a PROPER Boots today, Westborough, Scarborough.
No decent ACM offers - Boohoo! And total spend one was £25 - no chance.
I did the Glossy Locks and Sunscreen to get the men's GWP, paid with points, rather than £11.50 and use 200pts voucher, as I'm being virtuous......
Splendid big slip-in albums £3.50 each on upstairs Clearance shelves. I was looking at them when a lovely lady breezed in, grabbed two, and said, "These are good, and they are on, buy one, get one free, too!". Bless her - a fellow Bootser? I took a couple, so I have Father's Day sorted, mp3 player, GWP, and album for him to put his newly developed Boots Disposable camera photos in! Now I'm kicking myself because I should have bought more for pressies and used the points vouchers (from the mag) on them. I was so hot and flustered, and had OH waiting for me.... I wish I could Boots more often....

Anyway, two shelves full of these lovely albums in Scarborough, hope that helps someone. I so enjoy reading this thread, but seldom get to add anything. Thanks for helping me get the GWP!

Sonee, I hope your sister soon recovers, what a terrifying experience.
  • Just used the SG jam sessions and then SG Blueberry thrill body butter...it's fantastic!! great smell and skin doesn't feel greasy!

Does 1 body serum not count as the original price, entitling us to 1 GWP? TIA

I thought it would work too, but when I mentioned this in a message on here yesterday, someone said it wouldn't work because only bogof items count towards a total spend, not the original price of reduced items

However, after getting the S&G gwp on a spend of 5.00 (with reduced items. original price 10.00) and 2 x natural collection gwps on a spend of 5.00 (again with reduced items, original price 10.00) I really think you could get the No7 gwp with just a 1/2 price serum. I'm not going to try though, because I have decided I don't really like the No7 gwp:o
  • Boots Cheshire Oaks - some pink Sanctuary (?Lomi) hawaian scrubs and body washes half price. Also Damask Rose and Essential Aromatherapy bath stuff half price.

Boots Whitechapel Liverpool - one Sanctuary mini for 75p, some Ted Baker lipgloss sets reduced, and again lots of Essential Aromatherapy for half price. Also had Amarige perfume sets for about half price - £15 IIRC.

They don't make it very easy to find the products. it's a case of searching the various premium brands for items with the offer attached. For an example put Origins Mints in the search (sadly out of stock as this was a good glitch last year). HTH
