Boots Grabbit Bargains Part 26 - Post your finds here

Well i decided to go to boots earlier and i was abit of a wimp on the NC but did get some bargains too..

nc ice musk? set reduced to £2 times 3
nc showergel £1.99 times 2
nc masks 50p times 6
nc lip gloss £1.25 times 3
nc lip gloss mirror set £4 reduced from £8

i put 4 free bags in basket and sweated abit but when i look i have spent about £5 each anyway...curses myself for not putting more in now but i did not dare do it on the masks alone at 50p

buy one get one half price FCUK minis

S and G lip plumper stuff gel reduced £4 got the free bag

tried to do another no7 on mens buy teo wgt one free but needed spend of £2 and after trawling looking for anything cheap i gave up and put it all back

not very good pics as they are with my phone



heres my months stash oh and i forgot 3 pairs of sunglasses off that one lol



went inot the charity shop and got a lovely posh bath set which is on right of pic for £1 and a boots reading light pink set for £1.50...and a fabulous book called PRACTICAL PROBLEM SOLVER BY READERS DIGEST which has a million and one tips in it

and i rang sky this morning and reduced us down from £48 to £24 so feeling good about that..

my pics look pathetic after seeing some of yours but i have to say ....you would all drool if you saw my LUSH stash ...inserts embaressed face

Not me !! Went to the 2 centre stores this morning and it looked like they had been pillaged!!! I was actually looking for the Med set, but they were nowhere to be seen. I asked the SAs but they said they had run out last week- in broad street they had even removed the sign advsertising the gwp, cheeky!?

PS: skibster, if you see the med set in either the oracle or broad street, please let me know!!

I think it may just get confusing and may I say possibly a bit cliquey...........the great thing about this board is that everyone is welcome and most of the time it is very friendly. I would hate to see it fragment into cliques.

This thread moves so fast that sometimes things get missed in it. It might be handy, that's all..... whenever there's a particularly good glitch there could be a seperate thread on it for all discussions, questions, explinations etc.... There could be a .com thread, a clearance section one, one for 'chat' etc etc....

I don't think it would make things more cliquey, but that's just my opinion too I can't say I've ever found this thread particularly cliquey anyway

I myself was not thinking of removing any content from this thread, when I suggested Skitifer start a poll etc, after about 9 million conversations on the topic of chat it would seem that most people actually like it!

However, I think there are some who on the other hand would infact like more chat! I mean look at how naughty(myself included) some of the 'night shift' can be!

I can imagine that there are many other 'threads' that would be welcomed, just thinking off of the top of my head, I can imagine people posting random threads like....

"Post your stash pics here!"
"Look at the gift basket I just made up from my boots stash"
"I'm broke and it is my mates 21st...any ideas of pressies as have to spend points?"
"Product recommendations"
"How can I maximise my 500pt on £10 baby spend voucher"
"I'm visiting Leeds on Sunday, whats the store low down please?"
"What are the best Health Clubs to join?"

I can imagine that if there were other threads, people would chat exactally the same on this thread, but what it would mean is, that for those of us who like to natter, in the extreme sense, it would mean we were not feeling the need to reel ourselves in constantly and allow us to talk even more rubbish!

I'm not sure about cliques, I can not see it happening any more than it already does aslong as the threads were still totally boots related in one way or the other? Not sure!

I think it is a great idea, so would love to see you pop up a thread, with poll attached and that way we can all vote and then maybe if we are lucky the 'powers that be' will look at it. Aslong as you make sure that there is an option for keeping things exactally the same, then I can not imagine anyone having an issue with it. It is not like you are suggesting a 'No Chat thread', just encouraging gas bags to have free reign without doing peoples head in.

Had a fabby boots trip:D Done 3 shops and got 6 nc bags altogether (2 each shop:D )
I must say though the photo guy didnt seem happy to serve me today, i asked a question about disposable cameras (to look like i was there for a reason:o ) then after he'd answered he just stood looking at me like he expected me to go to another counter. My basket was on the counter and i just stood there trying to look dim until he served me:p
Sa in primark on cust. services didnt seem pleased id gone there either even though i did ask and explained DS runs out of my site at the big tills. (actually went up there to ask if i could leave the clothes there while i went to the bank then remembered i could pay by card!) Anyway im rambling....

Used: £5 off no 7, 200 points no 7 suncare, 250 points no 7 cosmetics (thanks melgirl) and 200 points no 7 cosmetics. 500 points on any 2 p&p didnt work:o
Total: £12.25 with 670 points back:D

Shop 2:

Used: 50 points wyb any nc mascara
Total: £3.61 with 54 points back:D My points were up to £32.04 at this point.

Shop 3:

dr who screwdriver £9.99 (promised my dr who mad ds id buy him something dr who on payday)
Rennies £1.89 (run out and fab for when you suddenly feel sick for no reason!)
Ibrufen *sp £1.45 (had run out but usually buy in tesco as cheaper but felt cheeky going to pharmacy and not asking for anything:rolleyes: )
Total: 1432 POINTS! Ouch:o Meant to treat myself with points today and treated ds:rotfl: Points now: 1772 (seriously it hurt!:rotfl: )

So im happy
Slough had about 3 nc bags left, a few nc bits reduced as follows
Apple and lime body scrub-1 left
SWirly stuff in tub, think they had blue one and green £1.75 (smelt yuk) face wand £1.25, witch hazel face scrub and wash £1.50 each. The exfoliating gloves were £1.25 but none left. Think that was it.
s&g jam sessions £3.75
a couple of sanctuary bits reduced, nothing marvellous
a few elle macpherson things but didnt take much notice, sorry:o
Ted baker womens bits reduced.
No med gwp :rolleyes: Knew i should have got it in uxbridge:p and clearance was rubbish, lidless stuff, ted baker mens gift sets still £7.49 all opened as well:rolleyes: Stuff such as hackett that was more expensive than when they were reduced on the shelf:rolleyes:
Anyhoo, thats the lowdown on slough, ill post a pic later;)
No 7 liplicious gloss was 1/2 price there too so think its nationwide

Think you got lost in the debate! It would appear that if you get 1 x nc item you could put through any amount of nc gwp's, SA willing.

However, I'm of the thinking that if we go overboard, they may cotton on and also some people may not even get one bag!

You can get multiple nc bags with one item such as a face mask @ 99p:j

Thats why i only done 2 bags at a time in case the sa noticed, none of the 3 did!:cool:
