Hi all, i feel that posting this is really goin gto help me be positive in getting shot of my debts!
Im 23 and have two small children and would love another one or two maybe but me and partner have agreed to clear the debt first so that we can really concentrate on the kids!
We dont struggle too much but it could be better!
My reason is i had a lightbulb moment when i saw my debt on experian,
£9,800!, without student loan, but i am not counting that yet as i dont earn £15,000, im only part time.
The reason i have started is because when i met my partner he had30k of unsecured debt, wow i know, and i helped him through and now he is 2 years 2 months into an i.v.a. and he will be debt free as of march 2011, so i felt gutted that i had accrued debt to that extent.
Its ok, but im always paying minimum amounts and spending the extra on crap so im cleaning up my act and am going to have a big chunk cleared by end of july, fingers crossed.
I am waiting to hear if i have got a new job, waiting credit checks, its in a bank and nothing to do with my other halfs problems is on my credit file, only that we opened a joint account in 2003, and the application form specifically asked questions about me so i think i will be ok, i mean i passed a credit check with travelex where i work now and was in the same situation, my credit is tip top, couple of missed payments on my mob phone over the 36 months i have had it but apart from that i am good with paying things.
So the plan is to get a huge chunk paid off by xmas and the just focus on my biggy ones.
I have worked out who charges the most interest so that i can clear them ones first.
I feel this is a visible way i can check my progress and get motivation from other people.
I have already juggled food shopping and saved £10 which i paid off my highest interest account.

hi guys, thanks for your support, its so good!
ill get around to the statement of affairs but i know my mistakes, clothes and takeaways you see, i have kind of been moneysaving for a while, shopping etc but only to increase the money that we have to waste, if you know what i mean, but now i am being sensible and cannot wait until payday to clear a litlle bit, every little helps and i am just so excited to be doing this!LBM- 9653.63- 26/05/2008

Hi all, i got my job, yipeeeeee! so as a celebration i cleared my highest interest account, and as a treat a freebie night out, tesco club card deals at la tasca, lush and sex in the city movie with free cinema tickets, was fab and my oh was one of three men in the cinema, hehe, but he giggled a couple of times so there you go!
im so happy to have cleared a debt, it feels fab, and my most succesful money saving of the day is finding out up until the age of 25 i can get the bus to work for 1/5 of driving so ok it may take a little longer but rather in my pocket than gordon browns!
roll on next payday for more debts cleared! cannot wait!LBM- 9653.63- 26/05/2008
