Hi
I have a cashcard account with Barclays, no debit card though, just a cash point card. I am used to living without a debit card now. Barclays cash card account accepts direct debits and standing orders, but cheques take a whole week to clear which is a pain, but you get used to it! At least you can't go overdrawn and charge for returned direct debit is only £15.
Good luck! Let me know if you get one with a debit card as this would be useful to me too!

I miss the woolwich now Barclay's the shadow overdraft was a life saver a few times. Funny thing was they never told me about it until i went over a few times. I'm going BR soon how soon can i open an account for wages/benefits. And how long does it take
many thanksNO!MY NAME IS NOT WORZELIM JUST FEELING SLIGHTLY ROUGH TODAY0 -
i moved to hsbc.. on thier basic... they've been good so far, if you have less than £10 in your account it will still let you take a tenner out and not charge you (sometimes a life saver the day before payday) however i won't be allowed a solo card as it's credit score related!! so am stuck with cash machine card only! but have opened a spare card to put non bill money into which is working and I'm getting one of those pre pay switch cards.... they seem like a good deal and mean u can about go for whatever bank you want and not worry it!!DMP support thread member no 200!!

I've applied to open a Halifax Easy cash account and must admit it seems to be abit of jumping through hoops to open the account. Hopefully it won't be too long before the account is open.2014 Target;

lloyds will give you a visa card but you can't withdraw money from any other cashpoint in the Uk other than Lloyyds. As long as you are happy with that arrangement then its a reasonable account.0
