A&L Overpayments

Can't seem to see the answer on A&L web and can't phone at the mo (in work)
Can I set up a DD for an overpayment each month, say even £25? Rather than going into branch?
I had thought of setting up an Isa but TBH I would just be tempted to take it out and spend it (happyshoppingfingers!) but if its paid into them by DD I wont miss it - if that makes sense:rotfl:
TIA:beer:

Hi JamieV
Sorry, I don't know the answer in relation to A&L but just wanted to say that if it is a DD you want to set up then it will have to be initiated by A&L. I think it is more likely that you want to set up a Standing Order - a S/O is set up by the customer (you) and you have full control over it in terms of how, much, when paid, amendments etc; a d/d is set up by a company and they have the influence over the how much/when etc although there are rules they must follow when administering a DD.
I see you are at work at the mo so I when you get a chance I would just give them a call and obtain the details so you can set your s/o up - you might even be able to do it on-line.

Im with A+L and rang them on friday to ask hoe to make OP
1. set up a DD with them (dont want to do that in case i dont want to put all my money that month on the mortgage )
2. Send money via internet banking like you would a bill payment
3. at a branch
guess you could do a \SO but then you would be comitted to that much extra each month and i want to be a bit more flexible so im going with option 2
