thank you in advance

Depends if it gets caught by customs - possibly yes.0

Anything above £18 that is brought into the UK is liable for customs duty but some companies for instance www.cdwow.com pay their own customs duty before they send your items so they guarentee you dont pay anything extra.
Have a look on the site you are planning to order from as they should have a FAQ section or something on the page about customs to where you stand to if they pay any duty like cd wow or if it's the buyers problem to pay duty like most companies are0 -
We were told they use a different recording system when we were over there so be careful to check they will work here

Shipping is not included when working out the value of the goods, $29.99 wil be fine as its under the £18. I assume you have a multi-region DVD player to play the R1 DVD0

Hi,
I regularly buy from across the pond. I use caiman.com (US) and chapters.indigo.ca (Canada) for my purchases (when I can't find the item or get a decent price from play.com!).
As above, if the item (not including P&P) costs more than £18 it's likely to be checked for import duty, plus a big whack of money to Royal Mail for the pleasure of acting as go-between for you and the customs office :-(
Shop around, use dvdpricesearch.com to search the US markets for the best price, and check their international shipping policy.
It's also worth noting that they do online credit card purchases a bit differently over there, so don't be surprised if they email you to request that you send/fax verification that the card is yours (copy of recent cc bill etc).
Any other questions, just PM me.
