What storage space do you require, is it everything you/she owns to go on it or is it a select selection and portability is the key?

If the first I would recommend the iPod Classic, or the second the iPod Nano 8GB.

I have had numerous MP3 Players over the years and recently bought my first Ipod the 80GB Classic which holds all my music, photos etc and is used in the Car and Flights mainly and is absolutely superb. My wife has the Nano 8GB whih is again excellent especially for its size and battery life.

Best prices I have found has been on Amazon, but worth checking around it being bank holiday weekend to see if Dixons/Currys etc have offers on and go through QuidCo to save even more.
    Cheers

I am a bit of a dimwit when it comes to these things but my 15 yr old can pretty much master gadgets so i think i will get her the ipod touch as she has had a nano before and this would be a bit different. Dixons seem to be the cheapest at £175 but you have to buy the charger and other accessories separately.
