Fan Element on Oven Failed.

The fan element on my Hotpoint oven has failed (at least that's what we've managed to diagnose). It's £35 for a replacement element, but nobody in the house has fitted one before.
The oven is less than 5 years old, so I think it should be covered by a parts warranty.
From what I can gather on the Hotpoint web site, they charge £89 for repairs - is that a reasonable fee? This is the first time I've ever had anything go wrong with an appliance in 12 years (I guess I must be very lucky!).
I'm inclined to ring them up, confirm the fee, and just pay it (they have a 12 month warranty on parts they fit), in case anything ever goes wrong with it again.
I thought I'd ask on here first because £89 is a lot of money to us, and if there's a way to get it replaced cheaper (but still safely) then that would help us get it done sooner.
Thanks.
