Thanks a lot, will rush out to buy some. Hope there are some participating pools in my local area.

Don't forget you can check on the website first to see if there are any local participating pools. Make sure too that any products you buy have the promotion on the packaging.

It's the packets of 5 Kinder Happy Hippos that Tesco have on BOGOF.

Costs us a small fortune too - our local pool kindly allow one adult free with my 6 year old son, who suffers from Perthes Disease (hip problem), he's not actually wheelchair bound any more, so they don't have to do that. Swimming is an excellent non-weight bearing exercise for him, and the only sport he can really participate in actively and the hospital recommend we do it regularly. But other than us taking him swimming, and paying for our him and our other son to go, there's no other free water therapy available to him

He's also the avid devourer of the Happy Hippos, lol.

The upside is that we enrolled both boys in swimming classes - and they've made excellent progress over the past 18 months and are both now the best swimmers in their school classes :j Unfortunately they see our trips to the pool as fun time and are quite reluctant to practise their swimming

We have the same in our area - free swimming for children providing they show their library card.
  • Many, many, many thanks for this. My daughter loves swimming and her favourite pool's on the list!! :j
My mind not only wanders .......... sometimes it leaves completely
  • I thought this was a great offer - bought 14 hippo packs - 7 x 2 on BOGOF at Tescos. Printed off the voucher today, looking forward to a free swim with my child, phoned up the nearest pool, the Le Club, Copthorne Hotel, Cardiff. I was told we could go swimming anytime, brill I thought, how much for one adult, they replied ................ £12.50 !!! I nearly choked on my coffee. Apparently, I cannot purchase a one hour swim slot, I have to pay for a day's pass to their club. Which means for me it would be more costly than the local leisure centre !! I phoned the helpline and complained, they said each swimming pool are free to set their own charges.

Lesson learnt, before you get your kinders check how much the adult swim will cost you - I think £12.50 is criminal !!
;) I am the only Voucher Queen in my village LOL ;)
