E: WSL. Free copy of "Our Island Story" for Schools

http://www.civitas.org.uk/islandstory/free

Our Island Story, H.E. Marshall- book is a hardback edition detailing the stories of the Kings & Queens of England.

If you are a teacher in a UK primary school, you can request a free copy of 'Our Island Story' by filling out the form below. Please note – we can only send one free copy to each school. All requests must be in by the end of October 2005, and we will send out the books before Christmas. We will deal with requests in the order in which they are received. When we reach the end of our resources, we will inform schools that they have joined a waiting list until further funds can be raised.

Reviews of the book can be found:

  • Why is our islands story"stories of the Kings & Queens of England."Has someone deleted the history of Irish,Welsh and Scottish monarchy?Computer error? Was going to pass this on to my daughters school but we're not represented in this book obviously.(No doubt all non ENGLISH know where i'm coming from but for the english out there next time your watching BBC sport or reading your fav paper take note, British only gets mentioned if the people involved are NOT english.

Good post but I agree that it is of limited use to our schools in Scotland. Is there an equivalent Scottish/Irish/Welsh version out there?
