The Compers Inn - Part 3

We've just finished our beef stir fry (with yellow peper, spring onion and mushrooms) and noodles... yummy! Now OH is finishing my big bag of jelly tots from yesterday as I ate so many last night after tea I've felt sick all day today!
I tried on some of my shirts when I got home from work and none of them fit. Doh! Maybe the jelly tots have something to do with it... my belly is getting really rather flabby! Must put an end to that right now!Life is all about the journey.0 -
The risotto was great. Left over chicken from the freezer, shallots, mushrooms, peas and sweetcorn with a Knorr chicken stock cube.
We always have leftovers from the Sunday joint. There's just me and the Leader of the Opposition at home now. The girl is married and away in London with two little whirlwinds and a husband who is "something" in IT and the boy does something evil for Barclays Bank in Basingstoke. Well all banks are evil so he is supping with the Devil! Anyhow there are loads of little packages in the freezer of left over roast meat cos' we can't resist our Sunday roast. Chicken is easy to use but we find lamb quite challenging. I made some lamb pasties the other week that were gross and don't have many ideas. Left over pork I use for Sweet and Sour and we love cold beef and mash.
MAybe we should give up our Sunday roast but I don't think we can.:beer:Any war that lasts for longer than five years should be declared a draw.:beer:0 -
