Just copied from Comps Discussion thread to Try on this thread as I seem to keep missing the people that do all the hard work putting the comps ending together.

Sadly yes that is correct, I know when I have done the comp ending threads it can take many hours of trawling through every post

Then in the box that says

this exact wording or phrase:
enter the date, eg. 31/07

then into the box that says
all these words:
enter - competitions time

or just copy and paste the following into google search box

competitions time "31/07" site:http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...play.html?f=72

it will bring up all the pages that show 31/07
There are 122 hits but remember that some of these will be for past years - i.e. 31/07/07 or might bring up game over.
This only brings you to the page but looking at 122 pages might be easier than searching 217.

What do you think? Is it faster? Does it cover every combination of E31/07, 3107, E 31.07?

Not sure it is going to work. As messages are added to the forum the messages move down the list so you might have to go back a few pages depending on how long it is taking to put the comps ending list together and how much activity there is on the forum.

Well today I've started a 'comps log book'

I make a note of every comp that I enter, the promoter, prize & end date so in case I get any more spam or phishing letters saying 'You have won' I can check back to see if I actually entered it.
God I'm so organised!!!!

I even have tabs on the pages so I can look them up by end date

Seriously, does it take much time to fill in? I'd love to be so organised - cool idea! I've heard a couple of compers say they use a log and others subscribe to every comp they enter and keep a track that way.

I subscribe to every single competition that appears on this site lol, that way I know if I have looked at it or not, so saves time re reading posts, I use the thanks button to show me which ones I have actually entered. I also have a folder bookmarked which has my daily comps, one for comps which still need entering ( just in case a site wasn't working, I check this daily) I also have a competition book which I write any reminders in and put a tick for every comp I enter :rotfl: this way I know I am entereing at least my 100 limit a day lmao
I also keep note of all my wins and put a date for when won and when received.

I think I am a little obsessive :rotfl: I am sure I have a few more quirky things I do

Polo always laughs at me, when she comes to my house she thinks it is hilarious to add extra lines in my book etc:rolleyes:

cor I have written an essay, I truly am obsessive with comps lol :rotfl:

I have a folder in my favourites for the dailies. (I love it at christmas when all the advent calenders come out, takes me ages to do the dailies then!)
I also have a weekly one as well, but always forget what day I entered them on, so don't do those as often as I should.
as to the monthly folder, that hardly gets looked at.:rolleyes:

As for all the others, I just enter away, and use the thanks button here.
No lists, bookwork or anything.
Crikey, that would take me even longer than I do now if I had to start writing it all down.:rotfl:

This year I got a diary free (well I got that the end of last year really with some mag) which I record my wins in, that way when I get a letter or WEM etc & the prize takes a while to arrive I can look back to see how long it's been.

I just write them down on another forum I am a member of. We only have about 15 members and a few of us are comping through this site
