Sadly yes that is correct, I know when I have done the comp ending threads it can take many hours of trawling through every post

into google advance search engine where it says

Search within a site or domain:

Then in the box that says

this exact wording or phrase:
enter the date, eg. 31/07

then into the box that says
all these words:
enter - competitions time

or just copy and paste the following into google search box

competitions time "31/07" site:http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/...play.html?f=72

it will bring up all the pages that show 31/07
There are 122 hits but remember that some of these will be for past years - i.e. 31/07/07 or might bring up game over.
This only brings you to the page but looking at 122 pages might be easier than searching 217.

What do you think? Is it faster? Does it cover every combination of E31/07, 3107, E 31.07?

Not sure it is going to work. As messages are added to the forum the messages move down the list so you might have to go back a few pages depending on how long it is taking to put the comps ending list together and how much activity there is on the forum.

Hiya, i was half way through the comps ending the 1st august and accidently closed the tab but when i went back onto the forum it had been replaced with the comps ending the 2nd
is there anyway to locate the previous thread?

Still no acknowledgement that I exist, so I'm sending another load of emails threatening them (politely of course, Kipper:D ) with the institute of whatever it was, and if I don't get any reply by the end of next week, I'll be putting in a formal complaint. This one is not getting away!

Good for you elsien, they have to know that they can't run competitions then not deliver the prize, this is not on.

Good luck, I really hope with the threat of action they will give you your prize, although it shouldn't have to come to this.

I just thought I would say hello to everyone. I'm new so just enjoying reading at the moment and have entered competitions since last week or so. I feel like I know you all so instead of just watching I thought I'd join in. I can't get to grips with the buzz words and shortenings yet but I guess I'll learn. I kept thinking why do they keep putting bump but sometimes it says on there what it means!!! Is it ok for me to join in I feel very nervous!
