Is it still too early to get myself down over not winning anything, any winners out there can tell wether they get most of their winning emails on the day after the competion closes or wether prizes turn up wenever they feel like it...

I suppose im just getting bored of entering too many competitions, to log on daily and find nothing but spam lol

Definately don't give up yet, I am such an unlucky person yet even I have managed to win things. Its early days for the comps ending 30th, I'm sure a lot of the winners won't of been announced yet. keep at it, after all you gotta be in it to win it

Thanks for the tips regarding the regular comps - lol at 'be prepared to sacrifice your life to comping'... I think in reality I don't have enough time to do all the regular comps.. at the mo I'm managing to do all the comps on the normal board and the dalies so think I will just stick to doing that before I get too obsessed :eek:

Hi Jen, I had a email today and thought it was from MSE because it said I had a PM from Rockchick. (The only Rockchick I know is our Goddess of posting brill comps for us to enter Rockchickbird )..Your post made me re-look at it, it was from Refresh, I entered a comp there a while back and have had quite a few of these PMs from them. I never open them as I don't don't know who these people are.

Does anyone know how to unsubscribe from them?

You can't stop the pm's (idt) but if you log on, then click edit profile and options, you'll see a box which is auto set to send an email when you get a pm - you can uncheck this box. Hth

*Edit* There's also a box so you don't recieve the pm when someone sends it to everyone ar Refresh (as this rock chick person did today)

Not quite like that, but there have been spam pm's in my inbox, and others have reported the same over the past day or two - when this happened before in a different forum I got the PM notification email and went to check my pm's but there weren't any because the site admin had banned the user - so the pm disappeared.

hope that makes sense! It could be something along those lines that happened to you.


ETA - just had a look in the compers and it looks like that is what happened.

Oh just logged on after a break in comping and started working through from oldest post...I only got to page 167!!!! YIKES!
And every time I come back there are more pages!!

How do you guys catch up again when you fall behind?

When I went on holiday at the beginning of June for 9 days, I got back and had 90 pages to catch up with - it took me well over a week! I seemed to be constantly stuck around page 40! :eek: :rotfl:

I went away Tuesday to Thursday last week and had 30 pages to catch up on when I got back! Didnt take too long as I just did the ones for things I would really really want to win, or just ones that stood out. Can do the others either on comps ending when I venture over there which is very rarely or when they are bumped
