I can afford it, I just want to know if its worth doing - wins wise. I enjoy doing them but as I'm on a money saving website, I thought I'd check it is worth doing them :T Wow princesspixiedust, thats a cool haul!

Hi Muffy0,
I started entering postal comps about two months ago. I said I'd give it six months and if I didn't win anything I'd stop. I do about 15 per week.
I've had one win and it was a big one - 37" LCD HD TV and Surround sound from the express newspaper woth just over £1000. :j . So for me it was worth it and I'm going to carry on for another 6 months.JUNE: Wine - DVD :j0 -
Fab thanks Kathy, that is so inspirational. I love comping and I'm afraid you guys have turned me into an addict.0

Good morning all. I started doing the Royal Mail survey about a month ago and am still in what seems to be training. So far I've sent out half a dozen letters for the survey but had no feedback other than when the next set of envelopes appear. I suppose I am doing it right as I do keep getting the next lot!
I need to find an inexpensive way of fencing my puppy in the garden. He keeps going in next door and pee-ing, much to the consternation of the next door neighbour! Went to B&Q yesterday and wire fencing will cost £80, but I don't want to pay that much as we are all meant to be having our fences done shortly.
Well better get on with comping as I have a load of cards to make today and the grass to cut.

I started about a month ago to but I have messed up the training as I was away and they have to be posted at my home post offices - ive got to call them and start again! great way to get free stamps though.
Well done on that win Kathy73, I havent been as successful as that with postals xComping addict since 2007 - still waiting for 'the big one' :j0 -
I only started comping this month, and had 4 wins so am really pleased. I have been entering postal comps from here and other sites, and have managed to find a few new ones myself as I'm also addicted to magazines (mostly £1 subscriptions from the MSE thread). Glad to hear they are worthwhile as I have posted several packets of postcards / envelopes worth this week.
I'm away next weekend, so thought I would do the comps ending 30/31st this weekend. But OMG there are hundreds and hundreds! I guess it's normal to have so many finishing at the end of the month? I've still got 22 pages worth to do, 440 comps I make it! So if you are running out of comps, then I'd make a start on the E: 31/8 ones already.0 -
I've been doing the 31st all month. from previous experience of other last day of the month lists I bet I still have about 500 to do!
Are the lists staying or going?0 -
I try to do the comps as soon as they are posted if possible but time is sometimes an issue. I do rely on the comps ending list far too much plus I don't think you have the best chance of winning with them, not sure why I think this I just do.
I've been comping for about a month and not won anything. My mum used to comp very successfully back in the day when postal comps were at the fore. She won several holidays plus a moped bike, which she sold. Her luck ended when the post lady made a comment about all the parcels and mum told her she never knew what was coming as they were all competition wins and from that day on she didn't win again!
