Half Price Sunglasses- Boots

I don't know if this has been posted before but if it has I may be able to interest some readers still.
I received a Boots voucher by post for 1/2 price sunglasses which said "includes prescription sunglasses from Boots".
I was very interested to receive this as I was looking to buy some for my holiday, but *my* prescription would be for varifocal and polarised lenses for which I expected to pay a lot of money.
Reading every word on the voucher I couldn't see anything that said this offer was for single vsion lenses only so went to my local store to buy them.
They would not give me my prescription 1/2 price, in spite of agreeing that the coupon didn't state single vision lenses but said that if I joined their Health Club, being over 60, I could have 1/3 off instead.
I paid this but promised to call their head office and demand what they were offering.
To cut a longer story short they gave me the £51.80 difference I had demanded so I got my £ 260 sunglasses for £130 after all !!!:j
I expected Boots would be more careful in the future but apparently not. I shopped there today for something else and was given a "1/2 price sunglasses voucher" with no alteration to the offer I had.- valid til 21 June
So if you too have a more comlicated prescription and need sunglasses........
