Card "Guard" or "Defence" Schemes

Martin doesn't appear to have any advice about which of these schemes offers the best value for money. I have quite a few cards and think it would be money well spent if they were all protected so that if I lost my wallet, one phonecall could sort it all out.
Does anyone have any experience of these schemes (at the rough end when you've lost your cards) who could offer any recommendations?
Thanks
