Is there anywhere I can get money for CD singles?

I know this is probably a lost cause, but I've been selling off my old CD albums with moderate levels of success - but I have a bunch of old CD singles - none are especially rare as far as I know but they're mostly rock/indie bands who still have a following. I want to get rid of them anyway as I need the space, but before I bin them or offload them to a charity shop, does anyone know of a way I might be able to make any cash out of them? Is there any kind of market for that kind of thing?

The market for CD single sis very limite dunless they are rare, however you might want to check out Amazon or Play or maybe do them as a job lot on ebay. There are threads about selling on Amazon and on Play on the ebay and other auctions board if you just follow the link in my sig.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Woolies have announced today that they are stopping selling them later this year expect the odd special one, like X factor. I agree market is very limited now, is all but dried up people want mp3's now0

There's still a small market. Say I wanted to download a random 90s pop song off itunes, it would cost 79p. Better if I could get the single for 50p - upload it onto computer, and get a 'cool remix version' (typical of 90s cd singles!) thrown in as well.
if advertise as job lot aim to get 10-20p for each one0 -
Another vote for ebay. Especially for anything old or hard to come by0

Try local newspaper you can sell them in batches by genre and get more. These works great for books, especially if you keep them related such as by author or series.
Gumtree is another good site for local stuff and its free - you just need to keep your post at the top.
BTW does anyone have a list of local sites similar to gumtree? Either for selling or exchanging.0 -
I'd go for Amazon but only if you think they are worth enough to stil make you a profit after fees and postage have been taken into account. Otherwise do what I did and try them on Ebay on a free listings day. The ones I had no luck with went straight to the local charity shop. I was surprised by how well some sold though!0

Bin them!
It is hardly worth setting up auctions on ebay just to sell them for 20pence.
It would cost you more than that in time and shoe leather to take them to the Post Office to post them!!0 -
I've found that if you package say 20 CD singles together as a job lot, and take the time to list what they are, they sometimes sell on ebay. For example, this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=180245401823&ssPageName=STRK:MESO:IT&ih=008 is one of my recent closed auctions of CD singles that sold first time, though it can take one or two goes sometimes.
I agree that it is not worth selling CD singles individually on ebay. I've sold a few individually on playtrade though.0 -
I'm pretty sure Cashgenerator take them and pay 50p eachMade it - 15 years married!! Finally!! xx:beer:0
