Pro Rata Payments

A few weeks back you may remember that I was telling you how nasty Marbles were and at the time I offered them a reduced payment level and asked them to stop the interest., which would be a big help in getting the level of debt down.

Anyway the pleasant chap on the other end said he couldn't make that decision on the basis of a conversation but would send me a form to fill in about my finances, which I've now received.

It the usual calculation sheet showing income and proposed, pro rata payments to all my creditors but (and I've finally got around to it - sorry!) is if I fill this in and send it off, am I likely to get the pro rata payment agreed or is this just them getting my financial info by the back door?

They are only entitled to their fair share through the pro rata calculation whether they like it or not. Showing them your full income and expenditure makes them aware of the reality of your finances. They can say no, however this would mean reducng your essential expenditure which may not be realistic or paying someone else short. If you do the latter, thenall hell breaks loose with the other creditors, stick to your guns...

So will all the other creditors talk to each other then?

Also can I insist that they contact me by letter?

They can only look at your CCA thy have no authority to discuss your affairs with each other unless they are connected suchs as HBOS, Halifax and Bank of Scotland
