    Hi again Nancy
Theres definately life after bankruptcy- Im only 2 months "in" and I feel so much better.
Im not remotely proud of it(bankruptcy), but Im not bogged down with shame either- there are far worse things people do in life.
In a way, I feel going bankrupt has been a positive thing in my life- Ive left behind that awful "rob Peter to Pay Paul" lifestyle- I now spend what I can afford, not what my more well heeled(ie credit laden) friends tell me I can.
I liked Betterlatethanever's post- about the simple things-Im learning to deal with a very limited budget, and little treats now mean more to me than all the c*** I bought on credit cards. I feel so much happier now Ive bowed out of the credit/must have lifestyle.

Me and my OH are newly BR Thursday last and I for one am not sure how I feel, its great not owing anything but and there is a but,I dont know how to budget,I worry we wont have enough and what do we do for a car if they lift ours?
Crazy,I know,we were paying out over a grand a month and werent bringing in enough to survive and I worry we wont have enough!
It is a strange sense of forbodeing, like venturing into the unknown.Has anyone else felt like this and does it become clearer as time goes on?
    Sorry for rambling on!

I went BR last Oct and im now discharded but OH went in April. Things are hard, but not as hard as paying nearly half my wages in c/c and loan minimum repayments. My health has suffered, i havent worked since xmas but we do survive. Were off on holiday to pontins for a weekend in july - thanks to someone posting free holiday offer.

Im currently in and out of hospital with kidney problems, but on the bright side i dont owe anyone anything - and we have a home. I may not have lots of luxeries but it always has food in the cupboard and its got warm cosing heating.

there is life after BR, its a little harder but you dont have to worry about phone calls, knock at the door or letters through the mail box.

Hope you all have a great bank holiday weekend.

Yes it is.....but it's also a new beginning. I was BR on Wednesday so I'm an old hand!:rotfl:

They are taking my car but I've now retired so have no use for it in their eyes. If you do then I can't see why they would take it.

Even after BR I'm having problems sleeping as it all goes round my head but I'm sure that will pass as well.

You will have enough because now you're handling real money and not a piece of plastic. You'll get there.:T
