When I was cooking a meal yesterday I used mange tout and filled potato skins. When I was little, the pea pods and the potato skins would have gone onto the compost heap. Food has fashions too.

LOL, wondered what to expect in your post when I first saw the title! (Something to do with Skinheads? Animal skins? Comments about the brilliant series which recently finished on E4?:D )

I was quite relieved! What filling did you put in them? We only seem to have potato skins when we have jacket potatoes, and I just eat the skins at the same time.

And I love mangetout, though it always makes me think of Del boy:p

I know what you mean about food having fashions though. When I was little my Mum often used to buy chitterlings for my Dad, and he always let me have some. Now I know what they were though, somehow they've lost their appeal_pale_
