credit report today

i have just looked through my credit report and happy to say that my CCJ and other bad credit history is no longer showing, i must be a magnate for lenders to throw their money at me!!! wrong, i have been denied by vanquis and monument in the last few days.

Can I write and ask these companys why or would it just be a waste of my time? The only problems that I can see is that my mortgage is with a specialist lender for advers credit (platform) and my two credit cards are with cap 1 and both near their max limit.

I have only been in my new house for 15 months and only on elctoral rols since sept last year.

I did have a car loan, but paid that off in 5 moths instead of full term, but the new loan i have in place if that is with nemo finance(under a different name)

Does anyone have any other possibilities as to why i was denied?

lucky you for good credit report and well done. anyway i have a vanquis credit card and if i were u i wudnt be too worried over them not giving you one. i was over the moon when i got mine until i started spending and finally realised what a naff interest rate they gave and how much and how long this thing is goin to take to clear. dont want to preach but if you can steer clear. best wishes.

well done on the credit report free of nasties.

The refusal could purely be based on the amount of searches done on yourself in the last 6 months.

Just attack your o/s debt and try again in 6 months.
