Do CCJs appear on your credit file?

I have requested my file, and cant see any, but im sure i may have got one a few years ago (im not 100% though, thats how i got myself into this mess! :rolleyes: )

    Yes CCJs do show on your credit file. Although as with all of the other things, they "drop off" after 6 years.

    Hi Amy,

    They generally do show, they would stay there for 6 years. Do you remember the name of the company? It could of been a threat of one. Did you receive any blue and white paperwork?

    Ahh right i see. See i dont know if it has been 6 years or not (god i was rubbish with money/paperwork :rolleyes: ).

    If i have to fill out an applicatino form and it asks about CCJs, if i say no, will it show up that I have had one?

    im embaressed to say I have no recollection of who it was from etc. im sure i remember getting a threat at least. Maybe they didnt actually follow it through? :confused:

    Have you come to an arrangement with your creditors now? If so you have done all you can now you have started getting yourself on track. If you find in the future that one comes out of the woodwork you can address that then. You would be able to ‘vary to judgment’ by completing a form called an N245

    Well nothing is showing on my credit file at all from that long ago (and if it is its showing as settled).

    Maybe i was making it up? I dont know really, i had no clue what was happening with my finances back then! :eek: :rolleyes:
