superdrug bargains - R/C Hovercraft 9.99

quite a big one too, was selling for £50+ at the beginning of the year
saw in the sale items in Superdrug Cwmbran, its silver in colour and called 'leading edge'

theres a Taiyo Edge Hovercraft at Argos that is the same size and pretty much identical design but costs £70!!

http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10001&langId=-1&catalogId=3801&productId=158946&clickfrom=name

i'll guarentee if you have a lake nearby or a large smooth surface (local sports hall!!) then your partner/bloke friend will LOVE this for xmas

I have one of the argos style ones, and there is no difference in performance between the two, great fun down the local boating lake!

cant see anything at superdrug.com, so instore only

also saw a 6.99 webcam in the one in Barnstable on the weekend

I've spent 10x as much as I would if I had never discovered this website :-)

I bought a hovercraft for my son last year for £50 looks similar to this but called Taiyo Edge, utter rubbish, lasts for 10 minutes, won't work on grass, doesn't go up any sort of incline, daren't use it on water as I don't fancy fishing it out when the battery goes flat in the middle of the lake.

Don't bother you'll only be disappointed

My son has one of these Hovercrafts as well, bought it from Superdrug in the january sales for £20.

Like wack says it is quite delicate and the battery charge lasts about 8 minutes. We broke the fan bit at the back but the company were marvellous when we wrote to them and just sent a new part for us.

    It's a nice novelty item.

  • I have one, was gonna use it on our lake, but was no good. Best it worked was on the kitchen tiled floor, anything else and it really struggles.

    thats the one bubba!

I've found on my tayo edge one if you take out the foam from inside the rubber ring, it works a LOT better on the water,
i've been down the local boating lake a few times, battery seems to last about 15 min really hammering it, great fun

yes it wont do grass, yes it'll only do smooth surfaces, but getting it up to speed then 'yanking the handbrake' is fun, and heck, its a tenner at the end of the day

  • Hi Peeps, just got my R/C craft for £4.99, at Whiterose Centre, Leeds, West Yorkshire. This will be the last drop in price.
These crafts need a perfectly smooth surface or they wont work as required.
Goog buy though, big thanx for the poster, brill.
