Hi. Just a quickie re deposits. As your tenancy agreement started after April 2007, the LA had to by law either pay deposit into a gov bonded scheme, or register it with same. http://www.mydeposits.co.uk/ If they dont, same applies to private LL, you can take them to court & they can be fined up to 3 months rent, thats just for not regestering deposit.

Thanks for that. It was a holding deposit though, and paid prior to a tenancy being signed so I dont think they were liable to register it. Theyre totally ignoring all my communications so Im going to send it to the Small Claims court I guess.

AceCobra I feel sorry for you, I really do. I can't believe you've just wasted 30 mins of your time typing out an essay in reply to one of Mr. Broderick's posts!! :rotfl:

If you'd done a bit of research beforehand you'd have realised that he's just an internet troll, FOS and doesn't have a clue what he's talking about.

    I mean, come on... :rotfl:

LOL, losing 30 minutes is better than losing £30k me thinks ;) Actually it is not only him i'd like to hear from. I'd love to hear from what you guys think too I mean from the data:money: Maybe I can use this essay for an MBA if I decide to quit as a dentist half way through and fancied some property investment haha! Like that is gonna ever happen ;)
