Friday conundrum

OKay, just got paid my months salary and it feels good to have money in bank again, been a tough last few weeks, so as a treat for me and wife we are thinking of having a well done meal. Kids are to off to grandparents so dont have to cook for them.

Local Morrisons have a BOGOF on their curry for one, £3 something and some good beer deals and wine, so it sback to the should we shouldnt we routine? I know we can probably make our own curry, but we dont make it that good, i think buying from local takeaway is to expensive.

What do others do in this situation? we need the odd treat now and again to pretend we are still alive.

That sounds a good idea to me - me & my kids used to have payday-chinese when we were struggling.

You need a treat every now & then, so the debt-clearing doesn't get too dark & dismal :)

So is it korma or jalfrezi then?
  • yep i agree if its budgeted for and wont leave you short in other areas then of course you should have a treat. I would go insane if i didnt treat myself now again :D

Sometimes a well deserved treat is just what you need to keep you on the right track. I would get the bogof curry and a drink keeping the cost to minimum, lay the table nicely candles and all that makes it look special, phones on silent and borrow a dvd from a friend that is still into buying the latest movies. Enjoy your evening you deserve it:D

I tend to use a jar. That works out even cheaper, then I can put my own veg and meat in it. And a nice bottle of wine.....

Go for it you deserve a little treat once in a while. And it is MSE if its a bogof. Go enjoy.
  • Lol. The 'should we, shouldn't we' routine is in my life everyday. Have come to the conclusion you have to Live sometimes, not merely exist.

Just make sure you enjoy it!! I agree with the others, money saving can sometimes be dark and dismal, the odd treat keeps you going :D
On a Money Saving Mission....... :j
