Places to stay in the Brighton area
Options
I'm going to a wedding in Brighton in August, and I'm struggling to find somewhere reasonable to stay. Are there any locals on here that could give me some ideas?
The wedding is at Brighton Pavillion and the reception is in Saltdean, so somewhere close to one or the other would be ideal.
Any recommendations or even places to avoid greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Same issue here, going to the same venue for a wedding midweek
You may want to try travelsupermarket.com , I'm giving serious thought to the Priceline"name your own price" offer, used it before elsewhere, really pleased with standard. (https://www.priceline.com), there's some nice hotels listed on there which are on the seafront0 -
Hi
Try the Hilton, I have stayed there quite a bit, book well in advance and there are some good offers to be had, plus they offer parking for £12 per day, a massive bonus in Brighton where parking in NCP can easily top £30 per 24 hours. Its also two minutes walk from Pavillion.:rotfl:Ahahah got my signature removed for claiming MSE thought it was too boring :rotfl:0 -
The White Horse in Rottingdean is about 2 miles from Saltdean. It's a nice hotel right on the seafront, and they start from £50pn B&B. It's also part of the Green King group, so you can use your Tesco Clubcard vouchers towards it, although sometimes you don't get the best rates doing it that way. You might find checking out nearby areas like Rottingdean or Telscombe Cliffs/ Peacehaven are likely to be cheaper rates than most of the Brighton hotels.0

this place is quite nice and comparitively reasonably priced if they have availability http://s208364098.websitehome.co.uk/0

Having gone through all the travel websites, I opted from priceline, got a room at the ramada for 2 nights (midweek) for £133, saved quite a bit on their website price, might be worth a punt0

There is a premier travel inn in the centre of Brighton. My sister stayed there and thought it was ok. We stayed at the travellodge preston park. A bit grotty imo. Both were the cheapest options for family rooms on August bank holiday, but still £70 per night.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:
