help re lxdirect getting desperate

I have arranged reduced payments to pay off all my debts due to change in circumstances but littlewoods direct will not aknowledge my letters with offers of payment, telephone calls or anything. No one seems to know what anyone within the company is doing. They keep adding charges despite my many attempts at arranging a deal. They say they have never receieved correspondance from me. I am sending a copy of the original letter from january plus this letter, does it sound ok? what else can I do or should I wait till they take me to court?? its not as if I'm not trying my best. Should I continue to make the "token payment" ive offered till such time?

As per request I am writing again with a copy of the offer of payment I made with the help of the organisation *******. I am getting extremely worried that my letters are not being filed correctly on my account. I have written, faxed and telephoned many times to try and sort out a payment plan due to extreme changes in my circumstances but to date no one has any record of my attempts at contact. I simply can not afford to make the minimum payment requested due to being on income support. I personally do not feel it is fair that I keep getting charges added to my account when I have on many occasions tried to arrange a deal with yourselves. If you decided to take me to court over this matter the judge would only be able to offer you what I have myself offered as the budget to work out the offer is already as tight as it could possibly be.

If I don’t hear from you within 14 days I feel I have no other choice but to lodge a complaint with the financial ombudsman service because I have had no success dealing with you personally.

  • I would send it recorded delivery - amazing how you tend to get a response when someone has signed for it.

excellent idea! standard recorded delivery as opposed to special delivery? ive tried soo hard to get them to answer my correspondance but the left hand don't know who's bits the right hands scratching it seems.

Standard recorded delivery will be fine. Get the POD from the Royal Mail website a day or two after delivery and keep it along with the stamped receipt.

surprise surprise they are still saying not received letter as nothing showing on my account. Lady just rang me and said the minimum they can accept is £50 a month if I accept 39.9% interest rate!!! I told them no way and that if they take me to court all they'll get is the amount I offered anyway as that is literally all I can afford. She got snotty with me and said she'd refer my account to nationwide debt recovery. Hopefully I'll have more success with them.
