MOVING THREADS FOR BETTER RESPONSES
Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere (please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
I've been with Pay Plan for about two and a half years and all seemed fine except for Lloyds TSB who only have a 6 month deal and then they ask again for a new financial statement. Usually they except the same payment.
I owed them £400+ on my current account when I started and was down to just about £300. It seems though that Pay Plan have been paying the wrong amount to Lloyds TSB. Instead of £7 a month they were paying £6.99. I know it's only a penny but Lloyds TBsb have added 10 daily charges of £20 =£200 plus £15 monthly fee. I now have an overdraft of over £500 and they are saying they will do the same this month because only £6.99 was paid.
I've tried to talk to the bank but they just want their money and Pay Plan say they will call me back and don't.
I wrote to them asking what they were going to do about the extra charges that they have caused me to incur and rang them when I got no reply, they say they didn't get the letter and again promised to look into it and get back to me "Later today", that was 2 days ago.
I'm not impressed with either of them.:mad:0 -
No. Don't go with ANY fee charging company no matter how good their sales patter. If you're having problems then you need to talk to payplan about them. If you do wish to change go to either the CAB or call the CCCS.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

The reality is tha Payplan and the CCCS as overwhelmed at the moment, however theya re still the best people for you to deal with. Until the DMP is up and running (which can take a few months) you will still be bombarded with letters and phonecalls; you wimply have to advice the lenders/DCA'sthat you are with Payplan and quote your reference number. It is usual eventually for most lenders to stop charging interest but they are not obliged to.
We usually recommend that you stay away from any fee paying service as obviously you are paying les towards your debts.
Have a good look round this board - including the info for Newbies and the mutual DMP support thread and then, if you wish, let us have your SoA for our thoughts.
By the way - I really do not think something as serious as this should be decided by way of a "poll".
