Hi everyone :hello:
I'm starting this thread for Penny-Pincher!! while she's in hospital. (Hope she's ok.)
Here's my mealplan for the week. It's not very specific this week as my mum is visiting at the weekend and I havent got a clue what we're gonna do for meals yet. I have planned all meals while she's here to be either storecupboard stuff or stuff that can be used straight from the freezer so that nothing gets wasted. We will probably have a takeaway one evening
Fri 23 May - Jacket Potato, Beans & Salad
Sat 24 May - [strike]Meatballs & Mash[/strike] chippy
Sun 25 May - pork & bean casserole & mash
Mon 26 May - Salmon & Chips
Tue 27 May - Rustic Pasta
Wed 28 May - [strike]Tuna Macaroni Cheese[/strike] Chinese
Thu 29 May - [strike]Chicken Curry[/strike] Egg & Chips
So what are you having this week?
Have a good week everyone
Nikki

Hi
I have been menu planning for a while now but not too strictly.I am trying really hard at the moment to more than halve my shopping budget as I aim to spend no more than £200 (from the 23rd May until the 23rd June).
I have just done my first on line shop with Asda am really pleased with what I got for my money. My meals will go from tomorrow until next Friday.
Friday
Toad in the hole for us and kids will just have sausages and roasties.
Saturday
Home made lasagne
Sunday
Golden drummers and potato stars with spaghetti hoops for the kids.
Chicken Korma and rice for me and OH
Monday
Tuna Pasta Bake (will make extra to freeze)
Tuesday
Mush - Don't ask, OH used to have this when he went camping with the cadets. Its baked beans, mixed with scrambled eggs and bacon grill. Sounds and looks horrible but its actually gorgeous and its the only thing OH makes.
Wednesday
Home made Pizzas.
Thursday
Home made chicken pie and crispy potatoes for me and OH
Fish fingers and chips for kids
Friday
Bacon and egg sandwiches for me and OH
Pasta for the kids
For my lunches at work I will have leftovers from previous nights tea.
OH will still buy breakfasts at work as they are subsidised and yummy.
I also have loads of food coming with my delivery that I can batch cook and freeze to help me with the rest of the month.
wish me luck:eek:0 -
Hello, still working on mine but will post now to say I have made a start! One of these days might become BBQ day instead (plenty in, been collecting yellow stickered things) we were going to on Monday but just checked the forecast, rain, grrr.

Saturday - Saus egg beans and chips
Sunday - away (make picnic food) pizza or something when we get home
Monday - Roast dinner
Tuesday - Fajitas
Wednesday -
Thursday -One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0
