Something else worth looking at at ASDA, along with the bouncy castle,,, they have a 7.5 foot trampoline with full enclosure for £70 (it will take 80 KGs I believe....a little larger at 10 foot is the £98 bigger brother !!! each has the safety enclosure.
thanks for sharing this, i got my kids that today, something theyve wanted for a while now xx0 -
Just to add to this thread, I have heard via the face painters forum that there was a recent court case in England where the party host's parents were successfully sued by a boy who had already been told (by the hosts and his own dad)not to go on the bouncy.
Sadly, this lad was severely injured due to an older boy accidentally kicking him on the head.
The parents were held liable as the judge said the big boy shouldn't have been on the castle. (the mum had turned away for a minute to strap another child into something else they had laid on)
I find this type of thing worrying as I have several young children who like to have their friends over, does this mean I will be sued if they trip and fall?
My children would love this bouncy castle although only the smallest two could realistically go on together, but I don't think I will be buying it, good buy or not.
We will stick to the trampoline, at least I can get a shot then!!

well we bought one of these and my kids loved it. and they had all their friends over for a party on it. all the people who came are friends and 'accidents happen' and if someone did get injured as if one of mine got injured on a friends bouncy castle i would see it as an accident. what is the world coming to0

Since my little one broke his leg on a bouncy castle, I've never let the rest of my children near one! I was right next to the thing and he was the only one on it. Yes, accidents do happen, but not as often as they do on bouncy castles! It meant a stay in hospital, months off work for me, and weeks of trips to the physiotherapist. A lawyer friend said that the accidents connected to these are so frequent there is a standard settlement amount!
It may be that a friend doesn't want to sue you but if someone has to take unpaid leave to look after a broken child, your insurance may be their only income.

these castles are rubbish, bought one last year and lasted a week just very very poor quality and is only about 3ft inside the walls so can only fit 1 kid at a time in it!!
better off hiring one at least then its safe!0 -
Other than the problems with injured children as listed above, I would highly recommend these Happy Hop bouncy castles.
Check out the UK supplier website at Duplay / Triang (Check out the really big ones!!)
The shop I previously worked at sold 400 last summer and we had only 1 returned due to the stitching starting to come apart. Due to Duplays' good customer service, they replaced it for us to resell.0
