PPI reclaiming from HSBC
I'm still fairly new on here, but have been browsing for a little while.
Last week I sent off my letter to HSBC to reclaim PPI charges which are on my loan - I was told at the time, that it was necessary to get the loan.
On average, how long does it take a bank to respond? I know it's only been a week, so i'm not sure how long to wait before writing to them again.
Wish me luck!

You have made a complaint to the bank and they should acknowledge this in writing to you within 5 days under FSA rules.
I would give them a phone call to make sure they have receipt of your complaint and ask them why they have not acknowleged the complaint within the specified time period under FSA rules on dealing with complaints.
Point out their obligations to "treat customers fairly"
I am sure that will help focus their minds!0 -
Ohhh thanks for letting me know that - I didn't know about it!
