Thanks everyone, I've been keeping an eye on freecycle in case there was something I could use to improve the house but there's rarely anything on there for my local group or the local group where the investment house is.
The annoying thing is that there's a nice suite in the investment house that the previous owners left behind but they had it delivered while they were getting an extension built on the back & had no kitchen wall & its too big to get out now without breaking it up or getting the living room window taken out
Adding the Glazier costs to the cost of transporting it back to my own home & I've seen decent second hand suites going cheaper locally
I do need to sort something out though as up til now I've been spending the majority of my time at work or at the other house but now the house is finished I'll be spending a lot more time at home.0 -
It is good to read that you can move on and up from debt.
All the best and keep up the good work.0 -
what a fantastic story! It has really cheered me up this morning and made me a lot more positive about dealing with my debt. thanks0

SBC,
Well done on this and for keeping us update.
with regards to the paint from the magazine - are you referring to the £1.99 Your Home mag that offered a free tin of paint at Focus? If so then I'm with you on that one. We bought loads of copies of the mag and now have enough paint to decorate the whole house. Well chuffed with that.
Cheers,
