Sainsburys 500 extra points-

I looked on the Nectar site today and saw that they are offering 500 points bonus with 4 Be Good to Yourself meals ( start at £1.49, I think).I got 3 meals reduced to 49p, which makes it much better value. :j :money:
However, the store knows nothing about it and say it will be added automatically in 28 days by Nectar, as it does not go through on the till. I wanted the points today so I could do the best offer on the site, 2000 points to join Cannons Gym for a month for two, so pressed the point with customer service, who said it is not being advertised in store.
Customer service let me phone Nectar, who said they could not give me the points today- but there is no obviousinformation about this on the website. Nectar say hte store can give extra points if they want to. I have asked the manager to give me the points, as it is so unclear; they have said they will look at it tomorrow ( this was all just before the store closed.)

That's the annoying thing about a lot of the Nectar extra points promotions - they're not added on immediately.

I just used a voucher today for 100 extra points just for handing in the voucher, but there's nothing on the receipt about the extra points. The chances of me forgetting about this in 28 days are pretty big, and anyway if there is a glitch and the points don't get added, there won't be much I can do about it. It's all quite annoying really - I'm sure I've 'lost' points before this way.

I went to my local Sainsburys in West Wickham,Kent on thursday and the offer was not advertised anymore, the staff said the offer had finished, so why it was still on the website ?????
2 Weeks ago i got this offer for 500 extra points and it was credited to my Nectar account within 2 days and it showed up straight away on my receipt.

It is on the Nectar website, as I saw it there today. Granted, there is a link which takes you nowhere, but it's on the front page in a small box on the right hand side of the page.

That is very helpful- i will be better prepared when I speak to the manager tomorrow...
