Are DCAs allowed to alter the details of a default with the CRAs?

Hello,
I defaulted on a CC debt a couple of years ago which was passed to a DCA and subsequently satisfied. The default was registered with the CRAs by the CC company but when the DCA took it over they changed the details, i.e. firm was changed from CC company to them, address was changed to my current one, amount changed to include their fees.
My question is are they correct in doing this as I did not default on an agreement with those details?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Rich
