what letter to find out bailiff charges applied?????

does anyone have any idea what sort of letter to write if you wish to find out what charges a bailiff collecting council tax arrears has charged you?

trying to help a friend but don't know exact advice to give:o

her debt seems to have gone up by £200 when she had actually paid £80 off it- so should have gone down not up:eek:

they never visited her either so shouldn't have charged anything at all.

don't want to give her the wrong advice - as they say a little knowledge can be a dangerous thing;)

Call or write to them asking for a breakdown of the charges applied.

does she have to write a certain type of letter??

or can she word it any way?
and is there something i can tell her to quote - such as that they have to provide that infomation due to such and such?
