What's the deal?
Online calls site Rebtel* is offering completely free calls to China until 28 May and Burma until 24 May in the wake of the devastation.
How to get your free calls
First simply register for a free account with Rebtel. Then follow these steps:
Because line capacity is tight you're restricted to a fair usage policy of 2 hours to China or 10 minutes to Burma.

How to get your free calls
First simply register for a free account with Rebtel. Then follow these steps:
- Enter your mobile number and the number of the person you want to call in China or Burma.
- You'll be sent by text a local number to use to call your friend.
- Save the local number to your mobile and use it to call them. Each time you make a call to them you can use the local number BUT it will only be free until 28 May for China and 24 May for Burma.
Because line capacity is tight you're restricted to a fair usage policy of 2 hours to China or 10 minutes to Burma.

How does the Burma thing work Exactly? Individuals in Burma Arent ALLOWED phones so who are you supposed to call for information?0

Can you provide a source for this information? I know some people from Burma and they have access to telephones no problem.0 -
I wonder if the mobile companies charge for this call? I'm with T-mobile.
I've just checked www.6park.com where all the UK based Masters/Phd Chinese students look for their deals. They have yet to post this offer on there but once they do I suspect calls to China will get limited too, so use it while you can.0 -
