mp3 player

I need to get a reasonably priced mp3 player for daughter. I have seen one I like on http://www.techsplosion.co.uk/ but I know nothing about them.Does anyone have any feedback on them?
Thanks.

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
The Creative Labs Zen 20GB jukeboxes are a good buy - excellent sound (subjective I know, I have an old Creative Jukebox III that is superior to my friends Ipods - a bit chunky though, but I listen to it, not look at it!).
Ebuyer do it for £165inc, as a guide.

The mini Ipod 4GB weighs in at £175inc - much more kudos though I guess.

I take it your daughter is still in full time education? If so go to the apple website, education page. You'll get a discount on anything you order... Also if you sign up to their newsletter first, you should get a discount email sent to you within a couple of weeks: another £15 off. I've got an ipod, good quality, good looks and very easy to use. I checked out others like the iriver h120 (too many gadgets, big, not easy to use) and the zen (BIG!, software not supposed to be very good [lock ups]), but can recommend the ipod or the rio karma...
No reliance should be placed on the above.
  • Tanks for the suggestions of the best players, very useful. What i am trying to find out if anyone has used the website and has any comments.
    Cheers.

  • just a few more points:

Apple ipods batteries are not the best I've heard of them having to be replaced in as little as 8 months and they are not cheap £ 50 region, you will also lose all songs on player when doing this. I do not know if warranty would cover this.

Iriver and Rio produce top players I personally have owned both over the years with no problems. Also you will have to recharge your ipod after 8 hours play some players can go 16 hours plus between charges,I look for atleast 12 hours. checkout https://www.advancedmp3players.co.uk for more choice ,and the forum and guides are useful as well though, they maybe places cheaper if you hunt about.I have bought an Iriver from this site 6 months ago, delivery was next day, Player has tons of features sound is excellent with compact size :-[ .
  • Thanks for the replies.
As noone has any feedback on Techsplosion I will probably give them a miss.. :-[
The iRiver iFP 790 seems to meet my needs and at £99.99 from MX2 is a good price.
