Using Tesco vouchers with different surnames

Hi guys

I read a while ago that Tesco were putting a stop to people using other people's Clubcard vouchers, but I can't find anything about it now. My mum used to spend hers in Tesco (heaven forbid) until I talked her in to passing them on to me. I need to know if I have to spend them quickly.

Thanks for any advice.

I wasn't sure where to put this, please move if necessary.

my mother inlaw and sister gives me there tesco voucher which i use in store, but when i cash out i use my car key fob not my tesco club card and never had a problem. iv been told the car fobs don`t show your name but the point still goes onto your own tesco account.

There was a thread about the changes, you could search the forum under 'Tesco vouchers surname' and maybe find it?

The thread was explaining that when you convert vouchers to Deals, all of them should now have a surname on (and some will also show a postcode). Previously, only a few Deals like holidays, Goldsmiths, etc had a surname on.

So it depends on whether your surname is the same as your Mum's? If not, then I would still convert her vouchers to Deals but maybe for somewhere that won't care or check your surname & postcode when you use them. I suspect most places won't!
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am looking to buy something from Goldsmiths using Tesco Deals. My daughter(different surname) and I are pooling our vouchers. I phoned Goldsmiths and they are happy with this arrangement as long as we both have ID.
