Buying in France - self cert?

Hi all, I'm currently looking at buying in France, ideally with a LTV of between 85 - 100% for a mortgage of circa £96,000 GBP / 120,000 euros.

Unfortunately, I'm led to believe, that self-cert mortgages (the route I wish to take) aren't available in France. Therefore, can anyone kindly advise if they know this to be true, or if they know of any lenders who can offer such a product.

I read somewhere that an offshore mortgage arranged here in the UK for a french property may offer a viable solution but can't recall where I noted such info........

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I do not think there are self cert options for France. We are buying where thousands of French themselves are buying and where some self cert mortgages are on offer - Mediteranean Morocco (Saidia). I think the maximum ltv I saw was 85% but no doubt there will be lots of bits paper you will to provide, for example to prove you are earning and are'nt a tramp on bench!
