Tempur Mattresses and VAT discount

Tempur sells fantastic mattresses but they are pricy so anyone knows how to obtain the 17.5% discount of the VAT with the self declaration form of backpain and cronical illness ? I know of a 10% code but 10%+17% would really be great and make a delux mattress really affordable.

Cheers

Great products - got a memory foam last year - and much cheaper than Tempur and a dream to lay on! Can also be found on ebay if you want to squeeze a better deal! Memory type mattress has a 12 year guarantee. Worth a look.

Didn't realise that VAT could be deducted with a self declaration. Love to hear more, looked on Tempur website but could not see. Am seriously looking at the moment and despite threads on copies available am inclined to spend extra on the original. Can the 10% code be shared?
  • Hi, Try https://www.backinaction.co.uk, they seem to offer VAT free for medical conditions.
    I don't know the T & C's though.
Let me know how you get on :D

I got a Comfisan mattress from https://www.mattressonline.co.uk , and its the best money I've ever spent. My hubby has arthritis, and before, the number of days he had to take off work because he couldn't get out of bed was ridiculous. Now, he's living a much more active life, and it all stems from buying the mattress, as his hip has actually got worse, but because he is being supported properly at night, its not affecting him . :j :j

  • But do compare the total price you pay after your VAT disability discount with the amount you would have paid if you had bought from MIRAFLEX
There are other Tempur Memory foam threads here which relate other peoples experience with this company and from buying from Germany via ebay both of which are much cheaper options.
