Hi! I just got this email...hope it is helpful to someone!
Make sure the forecast is bright for your finances!
As summer approaches the days are getting longer, the skies are getting brighter and the temperature is rising. But, the latest newspaper reports only highlight that the economic climate isn’t quite so sunny.
UK consumer inflation jumped to 3% in April – its highest level in 13 months. High food and fuel costs have driven the increase, which reflects what consumers have been feeling for some time: a real squeeze on the household budget and a struggle to make ends meet.
So, with all these pressures on your finances, if you’re looking for credit for that mortgage or home improvements, then now is the time you need to make sure you don’t pay over the odds. And checking your Equifax Credit Rating™ is a great start!
Take advantage of our special promotion – order your Equifax Credit Rating™ now and you pay only £9.95 – that’s 1/3 off our normal price. But this is a strictly limited offer and must end on 31 May 2008.
Your credit rating is based on your credit history, and this is an important factor used by lenders to decide whether to approve a loan application – whether it’s a mortgage you’re trying to secure, or credit to fund a smaller purchase. Your credit score may also influence the interest rate they offer you. The better your rating, the better finance deal you should be able to negotiate.
Order your Equifax Credit Rating™ now and you can:
See your Equifax Credit Rating™ instantly online.
Get a view of ‘Risk Signals’ – the key factors influencing your score.
Use our expert tips to help you improve it.
Make sure the information on your Equifax credit file is accurate and up-to-date.
Have the potential to negotiate more favourable interest rates.
Plus, if you order your Equifax Credit Rating™ by 31 May 2008 you pay only £9.95 – that’s 1/3 off our normal price. But hurry, this limited offer must end on 31 May 2008.
So, act now. Apply instantly online. It’s the first step to ensuring a sunny outlook for your finances!

You are entitled by law to get a statutory credit report from Equifax (and other credit agencies such as Experian) for £2. I don't know what if any additional information is included in Equifax's £9.95 offering but I have always found the statutory report to be more than adequate. To find this, go to http://www.equifax.com/consumer/products/en_uk and select 'Statutory Reports' from the left-hand side.0

there's loads of sites quidco etc that pay you to get the free file thou so i would never pay for it, £2 or otherwiseDon’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it.
