Mortgage Rate Reductions ... Does it really make any difference?

.... if a lender reduces their mortgage rate by only 0.15% (Halifax), does it really make a difference to people? I know 'every little helps' but is this enough to really help people? I would have thought people need the .25/.5% drops before seeing any real benefit?

Don't knock it, a few 0.15 drops wouldn't go amiss...
Thats over a tenner a month on the average mortgage each time...0 -
not that much when you're paying £50 or so more on fuel/food etc a week....
These reductions don't seem 'serious' to me - a bit token....0 -
I suppose the benefit depends on how much your mortgage is and how low the interest rate was to start with, if you are on some monstorous 8% Self Cert deal and owe £200'000, 0.15% is going to make a tiny difference, about £20 on a £1500 a month mortgage. Not enough to get you out of the dung...0
