Debt!!! Help

Hi all, just a quick question. I've recently had a letter from a debt collection company regarding a debt thats OVER 7 YEARS old. They say its all in my name but i've no idea about the debt, apart from its from lloyds bank. Where do I stand on thid matter, surely they should have got in touch sooner. Please, any advice welcome.
Thanks.

    Check out this website

There are two things here - the first is that you don't know what this debt is (they could be fishing for someone of the same name) and THEY have to prove that it is yours and that you owe it

The second thng is that it is likely to be unenforceable (see this site: click here) because it is too old

You have two options, ignore them assuming they will go away, or write to them explaining that it isn't a debt that you recognise (with or without the 'and even if it were it would be unenforceable')

Whatever you do DO NOT admit liability for the debt and DO NOT sign the letters as some DCAs have been known to copy and paste signatures.
